WGBH Teachers' Domain Resources

netTrekker has partnered with WGBH to provide Teachers' Domain resources in the areas of science and social studies (specifically in the area of the Civil Rights Movement). Each of these resources includes a background essay and a connection to state or national standards. Most of them also have a short set of discussion questions. Many include lesson plans, as well. Most importantly, each resource includes a special media feature. This might be a video or audio clip, an interactive feature, an HTML document, a PDF document, or an image.

To find Teachers' Domain resources in a search result, look for the in the list of content icons at the bottom of an individual search result. You might also choose to open the Collections menu and click on the Teachers' Domain box.

Example of Teachers' Domain on Collections Menu:

You might also use the Advanced Search feature to find Teachers' Domain sites. Click on Advanced Search at the top of any page, then filter your search by "Teachers' Domain" in the Multimedia box.

Note: While the background essay is immediately accessible from a netTrekker search result, you will be asked by WGBH to register in order to access the rest of the materials. The process is simple and the information is collected by WGBH, not by netTrekker or Thinkronize, Inc. No personal information will be shared with anyone outside of the Teachers' Domain project for any reason.

If you choose not to register, you can access the additional resources by clicking on "Take a Test Drive." This allows you a limited number of access opportunities, after which time you will be asked to register.
