Customize Your Search Results
netTrekker allows you to Customize Your Results so that you can dictate the amount of information presented for each website in a Search Result.
Click "Preferences"
Select "Preferences" from the My Tools toolbox, located at the right
of the page.
Click on "View"
netTrekker presents four different ways to view our search result information.
These options are:
The Default View
This is what netTrekker defaults to if no selection is ever made. The
Default View contains a large amount of information gathered on each
website, including link description, overall rating, multimedia content,
access level, age appropriateness, and controversial warning. More information
is available by clicking
The Everything View
The "everything " view contains all information gathered on each website.
This includes the information displayed in the default view, plus an
authority/credibility rating, subject depth rating, language, website
affiliation, and website point of view.
The Basic View
This view contains certain essential elements for each website, including a link description, age appropriateness, and controversial warning. More information is available by clicking
The Super Slim View
This view simply contains the title of the website, and nothing else.
Click ![]()
Once you have selected a preferred view, click this button
to implement it.
Notice that all your search results will appear in the view you have customized for yourself. You can repeat the process at any time to change your view again.
